Poem: (Kid in the City) - Horse Ride in Central Park

Distant sounds of clipetty-clop
I wonder what they are
I am here in Central Park
Must be horses from afar

A white horse pulls a carriage
Painted in black and white
A couple celebrating marriage
Getting a ride in delight

A black horse comes trotting by
Its carriage decked with flowers
A young family gives the ride a try
Enjoying scenes of Park and Towers

A brown horse comes to a stop
Neighing at you to get a ride
You get on the carriage with a hop
Isn’t Central Park full of Equine Pride?
