Poem: The Neighborhood Is Gone

Blink, the neighborhood is gone; like a
Clink, gentrification the norm
Think, our vertical jungle denuded
Think, commercialization has succeed; rotten
Slink, the city's massification; mindless
Link, to brand identification
Jinx, commercial subjugation
Jinx, de-personification
Jinx, this toxification
Jinx, gentrification
Link, with Thoreau's individuation
Jinx, commercial subjugation
Think, of soul's reparation
Think, cultural re-forestation
Link, with our history of assimilation
Shrink, and toss massification away
Brink, pull this city back from decay
