Arise, awake, stop not till the goal is reached!

The U.S. National Plan calls for preventing and effectively treating Alzheimer's Disease by 2025.  This was signed into law by President Obama in 2011.  The World Health Assembly in 2017 helped countries around the world adopt this to plan which envisions a world without dementia.  The official who led the development and global adoption of this effort is Dr. Shekar Saxena who is now at the School of Public Health at Harvard University.

2025 is just a few short years away to find a prevention for this confounding disease.  Thus I borrow an age old Indian saying to exclaim: Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached!

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading organization in the U.S. that has rallied millions of advocates across the country and is a force on Capitol Hill and State Houses across the country.

Thank you!

It is in this in this context that I would like to thank all my family, friends and colleagues who contributed to my walk to End ALZH disease last Saturday, September 22.

5,000+ walkers joined on a beautiful day in North Point Park.  You helped me raise ~6,000.  My team raised ~$20,000.  We were among the top 5 walk teams in the city of Boston.

Boston raised ~$1 million is among the top 2 walks in the country (we tend to compete with Philadelphia each year).

Thank you very much for contributing to this cause.

Hope you enjoy these photos from the walk this past weekend.
