Poem: A Walk In The Park

If you take a walk in the park
Please ask willow and bark
What it means to count decades
While ringing time in shades

As you strum your guitar
Kindly ask, what makes you who you are
And connect with each note
For to your DNA they may report

When exploring books read and to be
Here is my entreaty
The authentic nuggets they hold
Make integral to your view of the world

Freeing the mind from drudgery
Through persistent inquiry
And learning what connects us to our surrounding
Should fill us with fun and meaning
