A thrill!
The President
"In just about every field, Americans who once might have been dismissed as out of touch or past their primes are making vital contributions in every field; all of us, as a consequence, are able to raise our own ambitions about what we hope to achieve in our golden years."
Labor Secretary Tom Perez
"The arc of justice does not bend on its own; without advocacy, there is no Social Security, no Medicare, no Medicaid, no Affordable Care Act."
Surgeon General Vivek Murthy
"Our nation has a high rate of obesity; the solution is a combination of healthy nutrition, physical activity and mental health care."
Secretary Sylvia Burwell
"It is time to shift the conversation from one that assumes an aging population will overwhelm us to one that recognizes older adults as an asset to our country and celebrates their contributions to improve lives for all generations."
Laura Carstensen, Stanford Centre on Longevity
"Whereas younger adults favor negative information, older adults show a decided preference for positive information; resulting in the positivity effect of age"
Joe Coughlin, MIT AgeLab
"Innovations in technology will radically change the way we live in retirement, making it easier for us to remain independent as we age, care for our parents and stay healthy ourselves"
Andy Sieg, Bank of America
"We need to bring gerontology into the mainstream"
Senator Elizabeth Warren
"Strengthening Social Security is not only about honoring our promises to our seniors, it is also about honoring our promises to our young people.”
My two cents
"Financial Planning and Health Planning are two sides of the same coin."

Onward to 2025!

Thanks for sharing! We are proud of you. Curious - did anyone bring up yoga or meditation?
Thanks JC - mindfulness is all the rage now. However this did not come up at least in my observation throughout this conference.
I like what the last guy said - the rest I am not sure!
I don't know about that Tim - my two cents are denominated in the Drachma or the Lira!
Congrats on Monday event with Andy. Great action shot of you!
Rough life you have these days. I know you must have been giving 3 bullet points ... there's always three!
Grand success. Congratulations!
is a neat summary, Surya. I especially liked the below one-liners.
Health Secretary Sylvia Burwell" It is time to shift the conversation from one that assumes an aging population will overwhelm us to one that recognizes older adults as an asset to our country and celebrates their contributions to improve lives for all generations. "
Joe Coughlin, MIT AgeLab" Innovations in technology will radically change the way we live in retirement, making it easier for us to remain independent as we age, care for our parents and stay healthy ourselves"
