Video Essay: Markets and Morals

Hope you enjoy this video essay on markets and morals that summarizes the essays and reviews I have written on this topic over the past couple of decades.  Taking a Michael Sandel's question, it explores whether market mechanisms crowd out human morality or if individual virtue can temper economic imbalances.   Relying solely on GDP to measure overall societal progress, drawing on Galbraith’s concept of conventional wisdom and incorporating lively commentary from digital symposium attendees is the through-line of this short video essay.

Interestingly narration.

Morality and markets have the same relationship as a tiger and a lamb. When they ned to drink water, they will come to the same hole. But that is where the relationship ends.

Beautiful video essay.
