On the right side panel of this blog, the post 'Our Future Self,' can be seen as one of the most read. The post described an imaging software that took your current picture and aged it. There is behavioral science and technology behind that, which was explained. As always, I enjoyed the commentary and individual back-and-forth that ensued.
In this post, I would like to share some technology that goes in the opposite direction (hopefully!). In other words, the question that is pursued is, how old are we really?
Dr. Pinchas Cohen is the Dean of the USC Leornard Davis School of Gerontology. He says, "“every person will have the opportunity to be ‘right’ for his or her personalized aging. In other words, we won’t all age the same way. Some of us will have different health challenges. Some of us will work until we die – here’s hoping that you love your work that much. Still, others will struggle financially and others will struggle to find enough to do when they stop working." The USC Davis School has created an Mobile App that can determine one's real age.
Dr. Mike Rozien is the Chief Wellness officer at the Cleveland Clinic and the creator of the RealAge tool. After answering a series of questions, based on lifestyle, we get an estimate of our 'real age' as opposed to our biological age.

There is a caveat of course, which is, please look before you leap into this tool, given that you will have to share information.
I actually had the opportunity to speak to Dr. Rozien prior to using the tool. In the conversation, I learned that he has written four NY Times #1 best sellers.
The tool asks a surprising range of questions. And at the end gives out our one's 'Real Age' as well as life style recommendations.
To my surprise my results were that I was projected to be 3.6 years younger than my actual age.
It showed me to be 26.2 years old - hey, there is sharing my real age and then there is sharing my real age!
