2014 Summary of Titles

No to TV! - For the purposes of news and analysis, the TV appears to be no longer useful.

Three questions regarding our common future – Questions on the nature of work, environment and security in our collective future.

Year 2045 - In the year 2045 our current selves will be to the future human, what the chimpanzee is to us now.

The future is ..... a tad scary!  - Crime and its impact has grown exponentially.  In the new world we live in, we need heavy investment in new techniques to keep the miscreants at bay.

On governance - I see politicians as well-intentioned public servants.  There are bad apples for sure - but in the human population in general, there are bad apples.  Politicians happen to be in the public eye.

President Bush and the good 1% - The Occupy Wall Street movement coined the term 1% to describe the wealthy.  In contrast, former President Bush talked about a different 1% - Veterans.

Kaplan or Guttenberg?  -  Is the Khan Academy for real?

What about ‘em MOOCsMassive Open Online Courses; real or flash in the pan?
